It’s getting warmer and for those of us who had a dry winter, that means looking ahead to fire season. Last year I was asked by the Institute of Science and Policy to participate in their limited series United by Fire, a podcast that examines how people live under the threat of wildfires. With the threats to federal agencies it is more important than ever to understand mitigation efforts for natural disasters such as wildfires, hurricanes, and floods.
