With less than a week before the new season of Reckoning with Jason Herbert drops, I find myself running around with my hair on fire. There’s the new website to finalize, the new email for the new website to set up, planning for the speaking engagements in Missouri, plus I have to put away the laundry (perhaps the most daunting task of them all).
My dining room table has become a waystation for book presses to leave their wares. I thought I’d share with you this look from Pueblo, Colorado:
To answer your question, yes, I read every book that comes on the the podcast and a ton more than never make it. It’s…a lot.
This morning I’m finishing Rick Bell’s The American Revolution and the Fate of the World. He’s recording with me on Monday, which gives me just enough time to go through Jelani Cobb’s Three or More Is a Riot before he records on Friday.
This marks a continuing shift over here. We will continue to do podcasts about movies, which will drop on Thursdays—Notting Hill is coming this week—but I want to engage authors and scholars of all types here on the podcast. And we are going after everyone. And I’ve got a Murderer’s Row of guests lined up already.
