Short post tonight. I wanted to write something longer and more detailed but I’m exhausted. So for the moment enjoy this image of Pikes Peak that I took recently. It sits just west of Colorado Springs and stands at 14,115 feet high. More importantly, it’s home to a number of Indigenous peoples including the Ute, Cheyenne, Arapaho, Comanche, Jicarilla Apache, and Kiowa peoples.
I recorded a short pod tonight. My heart is heavy with the loss of an elder I knew in the Seminole Tribe of Florida. I wanted to write about that, but recorded some thoughts instead. You can find that below. If you have questions on my work with Tribes, hit me in the comments below and I’ll see if I can answer them for you.

Thank you to our recent paid subscribers. It really helps to keep the writing coming. If you’d like to help, you can do so below.
Beautiful, Jason. Thank you. I will seek out a museum or restaurant to visit from Spring Hill, Florida, and give thanks for your elder. ❤️🩹
